LEIGH HOWARD STEVENS

 

Leigh Howard Stevens is an internationally renowned classical marimbist, who has revolutionized the way the instrument is played world-wide. He uses a four mallet technique and his book Method of Movement has been translated into six languages. Hailed by Time Magazine as the "world's greatest classical marimbist" Stevens was just recently inducted into the Percussive Arts Society's Hall of Fame. He has been awarded four U.S. Patents for marimba design. He recently served as Professor of Marimba at the Royal Academy of Music in London.
